Red-Hot Mockingbirds Win Again
|
The winning streak continued for MSL Mississippi.
The MSL Mississippi Mockingbirds grabbed a win, 5-3, over the MSL Vancouver Grey Wolves at MSL Mississippi Ballpark. MSL Mississippi second baseman Jian-guo Cuan belted 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Earning his 8th save of the year was Luis Quiñones.
In the bottom of the seventh, MSL Mississippi center fielder Brandon Stevens had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and two out, Stevens stroked a run-scoring single to right. It made the score 5-3, MSL Mississippi. For the game, he went 2-5 with 2 singles.
"We're on quite a roll right now," said Stevens.
The third-place Mockingbirds have won 9 straight games.
