Trommel Helps 84s Defeat Blue Demons, 7-5
|
MSL Greenville first baseman Henry Trommel contributed significantly to his team's 7-5 win over the MSL Mexico City Blue Demons. Trommel, who is tied for 4th in the SMSL in triples with 2, went 2 for 3 with 3 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the 84s. Lapaele Bardo, the winner, is now 5-2. He struck out 6 and walked 3 over 5 innings, while allowing 4 runs on 6 hits. The 8th-place 84s have a record of 17-24.
Pedro Hernández, who is tied for 4th in the SMSL in bases on balls with 33, helped out the MSL Greenville cause in the top of the first inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the third baseman was 1 for 4 with a walk.
"Every time you put a 'W' on the board is always good," said Trommel.
