Rafael Zúñiga never let MSL Long Island get something going. The MSL Vancouver right-hander commanded his fastball in pitching the Grey Wolves to a 5-1 win. The winner was Zúñiga. He threw 7.0 innings of 5-hit ball. The loser was Bob Dudley. The 4th-place Grey Wolves improved to 20-21.

A crucial at-bat came with the bases empty and no one out in the top of the seventh inning. That's when second baseman Buck Talley hit a triple. The Grey Wolves went on to win.

"We'll take some time to unwind," said Talley, "and then get after it again."
