Cattlemen Fall Short, 3-2, at MSL Las Vegas
|
MSL Las Vegas parlayed a decent outing from starter Hotha Akinwunmi into a solid win over the MSL Ft. Worth Cattlemen. The final score was 3-2. The triumph puts MSL Las Vegas at 23-20 for the season.
With scoring opportunities rare, the Flamingos had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the third, when left fielder Axel Mansfield hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Vuk Stanjevic and made the score 3-0, Flamingos. Mansfield went 2 for 3 with 2 singles and a walk.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Mansfield said after the game.
