MSL Pittsburgh turned a fine outing from starter Xaavier Clemons into a victory over the MSL Montana Pandas at MSL Montana Ballpark. The final score was 3-2. Clemons yielded 1 run over 6.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 4 hits, walked 4, and struck out 8. His record improves to 8-5. MSL Pittsburgh is now 28-15, 3 games up in the SL MSL.
MSL Pittsburgh won the game in part because of Stilwell Gardner. The right fielder ripped a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Kingfishers ahead, 3-0. For the game, Gardner had 1 double and 1 home run in 3 at-bats.
"We were in it," said MSL Montana manager Mario Ruíz. "We just didn't score enough runs."
