Kingfishers Dismiss Piranhas, 3-2
|
MSL Pittsburgh pitcher Reece Carne did his part in helping his team beat the MSL Panama City Piranhas, 3-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. Edgar Vásquez snagged the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit over 2 innings. He's now 3-1 on the season. So far in 2061, MSL Pittsburgh is 26-18.
MSL Pittsburgh took a 3-2 lead in the bottom of the seventh inning, when Dieter Sinke hit a clutch solo home run to bring Kingfishers fans to their feet.
"Reece is good at sticking to his strengths," said MSL Pittsburgh manager Ricky Miller.
