The MSL Las Vegas Flamingos and MSL Ft. Worth Cattlemen obliged fans hoping for an exciting game.
Despite a great performance by MSL Ft. Worth third baseman Atsushi Ueno, the MSL Las Vegas Flamingos defeated the Cattlemen by the score of 6-5 at MSL Las Vegas Ballpark. Ueno went 4-4 with 4 singles, while scoring 2. The winner in relief was Pjètri Vata. He is now 3-0. The left-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 4 innings.
In the bottom of the eighth inning, shortstop Scott Vineyard delivered a key hit for the Flamingos. With MSL Las Vegas trailing 5-4, he ripped a solo home run.
"It wasn't our best performance," said Vineyard, "but a win in this league is nothing to sniff at."
MSL Las Vegas sits in second place in the SL MSL at 26-19.
