Thunder Lose as Bowties Stage Late Rally
Pablo Martínez, who is tied for 4th in the SMSL in strikeouts with 84, never let the Thunder get in a groove. The right-hander used his bread and butter, his fastball, to pitch the Bowties to a win, 2-0. Picking up the save was 16-year old left-handed pitcher Héctor Reyes. Yes, it was a win for MSL Buckhead; but their 12-35 record is still nothing to boast about.

MSL Buckhead won the game in part because of Ubbe Uytenhage. The second baseman ripped a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Bowties ahead, 2-0. For the game, Uytenhage had 1 double and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.

"No disrespect to the other team," said MSL Buckhead manager Cosmo Bjorkenheim. "But it's nice to get an easy win."
