The Colorado Billy Goats knocked off the Detroit Rock City, 12-3, in United States Silver League action at Detroit Stadium. Colorado pitcher and Boston, Massachusetts, native Raúl Hernández had an outstanding performance. Hernández, the winner, moves to 5-5. He threw 6 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 5 and giving up 2 walks. James Tucker closed it out for his 2nd save.

Marcos Iglecias hit a 2-run triple off Steve Kidd in the top of the third, which put the Billy Goats in front, 2-0. Iglecias had 2 walks, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 1 for 3.
