Flamingos Deal Rainbow Mermaids 6-3 Loss
|
The Las Vegas Flamingos picked up a win at Atlantica, knocking off the Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids, 6-3. Starting pitcher Raúl Fuentes was a big reason why. After today's action, Las Vegas sits at 36-34, while Northern Virginia falls to 42-28.
Ángel Saelices, who led the SL in on-base percentage with .391 in 2052, aided the Las Vegas cause with a run-scoring walk in the top of the third. For the game, the third baseman drew 2 walks.
"I just kind of blacked out and executed my pitches," said Fuentes.
