Jacobson hits 2 home runs, Leads Blue Demons to Win
Riding the 4-hit performance of the 25-year old left fielder Justin Jacobson, the Mexico City Blue Demons stopped the Long Island Lighthouse, 7-0, in 9 innings. Brandon Fox, who leads the SL with a 1.99 ERA, was the winning pitcher. Over 8.1 innings, he allowed no runs on 8 hits, with 4 walks and 7 strikeouts. The Lighthouse, now 23-48, have lost 5 straight.

The Blue Demons got a big hit from center fielder Rob Banks. Facing Long Island pitcher Jamie Gauthier in the bottom of the fifth, Banks pounded a solo home run to left. His 14th home run of the season put the Blue Demons ahead, 2-0.
