Northern Virginia Keeps Trending in Wrong Direction
Chris Johnston, who is tied for 6th in the PL in strikeouts with 22, was terrific for the Hollywood Shredders in his team's 7-1 triumph over the Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids. His performance earned Johnston rave reviews. The winner was Johnston. He threw 7.0 innings of 4-hit ball. The loser was Wes Johnston. The loss drops Northern Virginia to 7-11.

Luis Tañón, who finished 5th in the PL in batting average with .300 in 2059, took Northern Virginia hurler Wes Johnston deep in the top of the third. His 2-run home run put the Shredders on top, 2-0. In all, Tañón had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.

"The vibe's good," said Hollywood manager Bill Cheese. "We've got to keep it going."
