Rock City Sunk by Flamingos
|
The Las Vegas Flamingos picked up a win at Detroit Stadium, taking down the Detroit Rock City, 3-2. Starting pitcher Nelson Bennett was a big reason why. The losses continue to mount for Detroit, which has now dropped 6 in a row.
Las Vegas used the timely hitting of Jeffrey Ramírez to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a 2-run single in the top of the seventh inning to put the Flamingos on top, 3-1. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"I found a nice groove out there," said Bennett.
