Toronto Beaten, 6-3, by Toledo
|
Toledo overcame a superior effort from Devin Hancock to beat Toronto, 6-3. The Toronto pitcher threw 7.1 innings of 2-hit ball. The loss puts Toronto at 10-9.
Toledo used a clutch hit from Viet Long to get the win. The designated hitter drilled a solo home run in the top of the 11th inning to put the Stingers ahead, 4-3. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
In postgame remarks, Long said: "I'm proud of our guys, of their fight."
