Kingston used the timely hitting of Clifton Roberson to seize the win. The right fielder stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Ponies on top, 3-0. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"Anthon pounded the strike zone and made good pitches when he needed to," said Kingston manager Rayzor Ray.
