Taaij Now 8-4 After Subduing Athletic Club KC

Noud Taaij was on the winning side of a pitcher's duel at Athletics Park. In fact, the Las Vegas Flamingos right-hander was instrumental in his team's 2-1 victory over the Athletic Club KC. Miguel Hernández closed out the game, earning his 1st save. The second-place Flamingos improved to 48-27.
Taaij, who leaned on his forkball, allowed no runs on just 2 hits over 7.1 innings for the Flamingos. For the most part, Athletic Club KC hitters were simply overmatched.
"We busted our tails," said Athletic Club KC manager Geoff Matt. "But we came up short."
