Bleasdale Helps Bullets Defeat Flamingos, 8-0
|
The Baltimore Bullets powered past the Las Vegas Flamingos, 8-0, at The Strip. Tom Bleasdale provided some of the pop. Yo-Yo went 3-4 with a home run, a triple, and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2. Larry Wallace, the winner, goes to 6-2. He allowed no runs on 2 hits, with 2 walks and 4 strikeouts over 6.1 innings. The victory puts Baltimore at 31-45.
Making an impact for Baltimore was first baseman Francis O'Farrell. That's Nasty drilled a double off Guy Riggs in the top of the first. For the game, O'Farrell was 3 for 5 with 2 doubles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
