Echo Park shortstop Palmer Kent picked up 3 ribbies while helping his team beat back the Long Island Lighthouse, 8-7. Francisco Aguilar earned the save for Echo Park, his 15th of the year. The 7th-place Lakers have a record of 36-40.
Echo Park used the timely hitting of Eric George to seize the win. The center fielder stroked a 2-run single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Lakers on top, 8-7. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
