With shortstop Robin Merlet leading the charge, the Vancouver Grey Wolves defeated the Montana Pandas, 13-5, at Wolf Den in Vancouver. Merlet, who finished 5th in the SL in batting average with .298 in 2060, was 3 for 4 with 2 doubles and a walk. He scored 3 runs. The Pandas, now 36-40, have lost 4 straight.

Vancouver grabbed the momentum in the bottom of the fifth, when Merlet hit a run-scoring double off Pablo Moreno. His 11th double of the season put the Grey Wolves out in front, 5-4.

In postgame comments to the Vancouver Daily News, Merlet said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
