Billy Goats Suffer One-Run Loss at Pittsburgh
In a tight contest between the Pittsburgh Kingfishers and the Colorado Billy Goats, Richard Miller was the determining factor. The Pittsburgh left-hander sparkled in his team's 3-2 win. Pittsburgh pitcher Jeff Thompson earned the win, hiking his record to 3-0. Carroll Kelly suffered the loss. The first-place Kingfishers now sit at 44-33.

Brian Coleman had a critical at-bat with one out in the bottom of the sixth for Pittsburgh. He came through with a 2-run single to put Pittsburgh in front, 3-2.

"We were in it," said Colorado manager Mack Kilkeary. "We just didn't score enough runs."
