Home Loss Shrinks Grey Wolves Series Lead to 2-1
|
The Boston Patriots have closed some of the gap between themselves and the series-leading Vancouver Grey Wolves, winning 3-2 at Wolf Den in Vancouver today. Patriots right-hander Iiri Lahti threw 5.0 innings allowing 2 runs. The win cuts the deficit facing the Patriots to 2-1 in the best-of-7 Tournament of Champions.
Boston used the bat of Dídac Nores to capture the win. The designated hitter jacked a 3-run home run in the top of the fourth inning to put the Patriots ahead, 3-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a dandy.
Lahti called the win "a team effort."
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Wolf Den in Vancouver in Vancouver.
