Toledo won the game in part because of Daniel Webster. The third baseman ripped a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Stingers ahead, 4-1. For the game, Webster had 2 doubles and 1 home run in 4 at-bats.

"We lost," Detroit manager Kyle Salow said later. "We'll deal with it. The series isn't over."
