Road Win Lifts Pontiac to 1-0 Lead in R1
|
The Pontiac Godfathers powered past the hometown Delmarva Gallos, 4-3, in the opener of the 3L A Championship at The Cage. Pontiac starting pitcher Cipriano Moya threw 6.0 innings allowing 3 runs, to lead the charge. The Godfathers now lead the series 1-0.
The result might have been different, had it not been for 21-year old center fielder Chi-young Yuen. Yuen had a run-scoring double in the top of the ninth inning to put the Godfathers ahead, 4-3. For the game, Yuen had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"When you are able to locate the ball, good things are going to happen," said Moya.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at The Cage in Salisbury.
