3L A Championship Game 1 Victory for Waycott and Huntington
Their bats were silent and Huntington had a rookie on the mound. No problem.

On a day when the Hermit Crabs struggled to string together much offense, the club got a big boost from 23-year-old starter Logan Waycott. The right-hander quieted the Levittown Blue Dragons at The Shell to help Huntington take the 1-0 decision and seize a 1-0 advantage in the best-of-3 3L A Championship.

Waycott gave Huntington a first-rate performance. The 6-foot-4 right-hander permitted no runs on 1 hit over 8 innings of work.

"We lost," Levittown manager Justin Broadfoot said later. "We'll deal with it. The series isn't over."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at The Shell in Huntington.
