River Rats Clip Chukars, 6-5, in R1 Contest

The Columbia River Rats got a strong game from starter Scott Hall, but it was some clutch hitting that ultimately delivered the win.
The River Rats took the 6-5 win over the Idaho Falls Chukars in Game 2 of the 3L A Championship in a 9th inning walk-off. The win capped off a fine outing for the right-handed Hall. Hall threw 5.1 innings of 4-hit ball in the win, which brought the River Rats into a 1-1 tie in the best-of-3 series.
Jeffrey Hull was the walk-off hero for Columbia. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the River Rats pinch hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
Hull said afterward that his team has grown over the course of the season, adding: "It feels good when a plan comes together."
Game 3 is scheduled for Monday at Idaho Falls Park in Idaho Falls.
