It's Over! Matlacha Defeats Laredo
The Matlacha Manatees pulled out all the stops tonight, winning the 3L A Championship in a hard-fought series with the Laredo Hawks.

It was a seesaw affair, but with a 7-5 victory at Hawks Field, Matlacha lay claim to the franchise's 6th championship.

"There's no denying we faced a tough opponent," said Frederick Anderson. "But as the old saying goes, 'when the going gets tough, the tough get going,' and that's what we did today."

The champs finished the regular season 59-37 and claimed first place in the Menard's A.

A victory parade is set to be scheduled in Matlacha in the days to come.
