Blue Dragons Clip Hermit Crabs, 2-1, in R1 Contest

The Levittown Blue Dragons got a desperately needed win against the Huntington Hermit Crabs to move into a 1-1 tie in the best-of-3 3L A Championship. The star of the 2-1 win at The Shell was Levittown right-hander Iván Espinoza, who threw 8.0 innings allowing 1 run. The Blue Dragons and Hermit Crabs will next meet in a decisive Game 3.
John Gudmestad came through with a big-time hit for Levittown. The third baseman smacked a solo home run in the top of the eighth inning to give his team the lead, 2-1. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.
"We've got a great group of guys," Gudmestad said, "and we're having fun right now."
The next game is set to be played for Saturday, September 11th , 2060 at The Cave at Levittown in Levittown.
