Otters Edge Centennial, 3-2, to Open R1

One game in and the PL R Championchip is already looking exhausting.
The Tulsa Otters and the Fort Knox Centennial needed 10 innings to settle Game 1, with the Otters finally taking the 3-2 victory at Ballpark of Baxter. Excelling in the win was Tulsa pitcher Dustin Howard, who threw 7.1 innings of 6-hit ball. The Otters and Centennial are playing a best-of-3 series.
Tulsa used the timely hitting of Harvey Thomas to seize the win. The catcher stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Otters on top, 3-2. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.
"Everything is so stressful now," Thomas said. "I was just trying not to trip on my way up to the plate."
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Ballpark of Baxter in Ft. Knox.
