Yei Blasts Liberty U-21, Toros Take Game 1, 7-4
As the Tijuana Toros and Philadelphia Liberty U-21 battled through extra innings, it was a rookie who made the difference.

Young Tijuana second baseman Kei-thing Yei, 21 led the way with a strong hitting performance in the 10-inning marathon. Yei was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 during the 7-4 Tijuana win over the Liberty U-21. The win gives the Toros a 1-0 lead in the best-of-3 SL R Championship.

The result might have been different, had it not been for 21-year old center fielder Brian Wolf. Wolf had a run-scoring single in the top of the tenth inning to put the Toros ahead, 5-4. For the game, Wolf had 1 double and 2 singles in 5 at-bats.

"Sometimes winning takes more than 27 outs," said Toros manager Derek Jones.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Ballpark of Liberty in Kansas City.
