The Calgary Lynx got a stellar performance from pitcher Frank Baldwin, who handcuffed the Hartford offense en route to a win, 4-0, at Pride Park. Quan Situ earned the save, his 2nd in 2 tries. The first-place Lynx have a one-game lead in their division.
Calgary used the hitting of Pedro Morán to pick up the win. The shortstop clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Lynx on top, 3-0. For the game, Morán had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
Said losing manager Tim Fowler: "I think Susan Sarandon said it, 'Hit it where they ain't.' We didn't do a very good job of that tonight."
