Raucous Ballpark of Liberty Crowd Propels Liberty U-21 to 6-3 Victory; Series Tied at 1
Behind a bravura effort from starter Willis Thomas, the Philadelphia Liberty U-21 topped the Beaumont Crossbeaus by the score of 6-3 and got their first win in the 2060 SL R Championship. Thomas threw 8.0 innings allowing 3 runs for the Liberty U-21. The win moves Philadelphia into a 1-1 tie with Beaumont.

Philadelphia took control in the bottom of the sixth. With two out and runners on 1st and 3rd, Jim Alexander hit a run-scoring single to make it 4-3, Liberty U-21.

Philadelphia manager Luis Costello commended his team for delivering "maximum effort."

Game 3 is scheduled for Saturday at The Target in Beaumont.
