PL A Championship Game 1 Victory for Hewitt and Philadelphia
The Philadelphia Liberty U-24 powered past the visiting Cut Off Crawdads, 4-1, in the opener of the PL A Championship at Liberty Youth Field. Philadelphia starting pitcher Jacob Hewitt threw 7.2 innings allowing 1 run, to lead the charge. The Liberty U-24 now lead the series 1-0.

Lance Sai dealt the Crawdads a blow in the bottom of the second. Batting with runners on 1st and 3rd and Philadelphia leading 1-0, Sai hit a full count sinker for a 2-run double.

"Jacob did what Jacob does," said Philadelphia manager Rio Bavin.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Liberty Youth Field in Philadelphia.
