Plattsburgh Win Evens Series at 1
|
Behind a bravura effort from starter Cody Beasley, the Plattsburgh Puffer Fish topped the Bompton Baby Lakers by the score of 5-2 and got their first win in the 2060 3L R Championship. Beasley threw 7.2 innings allowing 2 runs for the Puffer Fish. The win moves Plattsburgh into a 1-1 tie with Bompton.
Plattsburgh took a 5-2 lead in the bottom of the eighth inning, when Francisco Jiménez hit a clutch 3-run home run to bring Puffer Fish fans to their feet.
Beasley said afterward that his team has grown over the course of the season, adding: "It feels good when a plan comes together."
The next game is set to be played for Monday, September 13th , 2060 at Field of the Browns in Compton.
