Home Field Advantage: Jin-ah, Fort Knox Open PL R Championchip with Win
|
Fort Knox got all of their offense from second baseman Ahn Jin-ah today. Thankfully for the Centennial, he had plenty to give.
Behind a strong game from Jin-ah, Fort Knox took the 4-1 victory over the Athletic Club KC U-21 in Game 1 of the PL R Championchip today. Jin-ah was 2 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 4 runs and scored once, while Fort Knox took a 1-0 lead over the U-21 in the best-of-3 series.
The game turned with two out in the bottom of the fourth when Jin-ah, who is rated as the 45th best prospect by BNN, hit a 3-run home run. It propelled the Centennial into the lead, 3-1.
U-21 manager Andrew Berven did not take questions after the game, telling assembled reporters that he would hold a press conference "if and when we win the PL R Championchip."
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Ballpark of Baxter in Ft. Knox.
