Columbia Crowned Champions
It was a hard-fought battle for both teams to make it this far. But as the saying goes, "to the victors go the spoils." For the victorious Columbia River Rats, that meant the USSL Single A SL A Championship trophy.

The River Rats took a 7-0 victory over the Put-In-Bay Commodores at Columbia Stadium, winning their 4th championship after taking the series 2-1.

"We've got grit," said River Rats starting pitcher Niek Proeme, who was named MVP of the series. "We know how to win when we have to."

The new titleholders completed the regular season with a second-place finish in the Silver A and a 55-42 record.
