Lighthouse Rack Up 4-3 Win Versus Echo Park
|
Ken Harding, who is tied for 4th in the SL with a 2.41 ERA, had a strong outing for the Long Island Lighthouse against the Echo Park Lakers at The Lighthouse. The left-hander was a big part of his team's 4-3 win. Harding, now 12-4, was the winner. In 7 innings, he gave up 7 hits, while striking out 6, walking 2, and allowing 1 run. Clancy Turner picked up his 4th save of the season.
The Lighthouse got an important contribution from left fielder Eric Hall, who in the bottom of the second knocked a 1-1 curveball to center for a run-scoring double. It was his 14th double of the season and put the Lighthouse ahead, 4-0.
"I like our moxie," said Lighthouse manager Michael Esposito.
The Lighthouse, at 45-33, lead by one game in their division.
