Good production from center fielder Alberto Montés helped the Montana Pandas topple the Detroit Elite, 8-7. Montés went 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2 for the Pandas. Earning the save was Gene Greene. He's now cashed in 23 of 26 save opportunities. With the win, Montana raised its record to 59-50.

Basilio Penni, who finished 2nd in the SL in on-base percentage with .397 in 2053, helped out the Montana cause in the bottom of the sixth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the third baseman went 1 for 4 with a walk.
