Asheville Win Evens Series at 1
With shortstop Dong-hua Sima leading the charge, the Asheville Highlanders got a road win over the Gulf Coast Turbeaus, 8-1, in Game 2 of the SL AA Championship. Sima was 3 for 4 with a triple, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times at Mobile Home Park to help Asheville force a 1-1 tie in the best-of-3 series.

Asheville used a clutch at-bat from Arturo Martas to capture the win. The left fielder hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the third inning to put the Highlanders ahead, 7-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Martas.

The next game is set to be played for Saturday, September 24th , 2061 at Asheville Park in Asheville.
