With first baseman Tom Windus leading the charge, the Crescent City Krewe crushed the Chesapeake Cangrejos Fantasmas, 10-2, in Game 1 of the PL AA Championship. Windus went 1 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4 at Field of the Krewe as Crescent City cruised to a 1-0 lead in the best-of-3 series.

In the bottom of the fourth, Crescent City left fielder Toshikuni Matsuoka had a productive at-bat. With the bases loaded and two out, Matsuoka stroked a 2-run single to center. It made the score 3-0, Crescent City. For the game, he went 2-3 with 2 singles and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.

Said losing manager John Moore: "We need to play with more of an edge."
