The Toledo Stingers claimed a close win over the Seattle Rocketeers, due in large part to Mark Garland. The Toledo left-hander pitched a great game to secure the 2-1 win. Garland picked up the win for Toledo, going 7 innings. He gave up 1 run on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 4-0. Earning his 7th save of the year was Sam Myers.

Clancy Hendricks aided the Toledo cause with a run-scoring ground out in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the third baseman did the little things right to help the team.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Garland told the Toledo Gazette.

The Rocketeers drop to 7-12.
