Cangrejos Fantasmas Clip Krewe, 3-2, in R1 Contest
|
Behind a bravura effort from starter Ed Perkins, the Chesapeake Cangrejos Fantasmas topped the Crescent City Krewe by the score of 3-2 and got their first win in the 2060 PL AA Championship. Perkins threw 5.1 innings allowing 2 runs for the Cangrejos Fantasmas. The win moves Chesapeake into a 1-1 tie with Crescent City.
Carlomaria Destefani had a direct impact on the outcome. Destefani contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the ninth inning to put Chesapeake up, 3-2.
"We busted our tails," said Crescent City manager Belchior Tinoco. "But we came up short."
The next game is set to be played for Saturday, September 25th , 2060 at Ghost Crab Park in Bowie.
