Toledo Extends Series Lead in Low-Scoring Affair
The Toledo Stingers moved to within one game of the ToC Semi-Finals, downing the New Orleans Voodoo on the road at The Voodoo Lounge by a score of 3-1. Stingers left-hander Mark Garland had a strong outing. He threw 8.0 innings of shutout ball. The win gives the Stingers a 2-0 advantage in the best-of-5 ToC First Round.

Garland, the Toledo left-hander, went 8 innings, allowing no runs on 4 hits. He collected 7 strikeouts.

"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Toledo manager David Bunting said.

Game 3 is scheduled for Sunday at Pacesetter Park in Toledo.
