The New Orleans Voodoo faced a challenging opponent in Long Island Lighthouse left-hander Ken Harding, but did just enough to squeak out a 3-2 win in Game 1 of the ToC First Round. New Orleans now leads 1-0 in the best-of-5 series. The Voodoo won despite the Lighthouse getting an excellent start from starter Harding, who allowed 3 runs and scattered 5 hits over 6.2 innings.

Danilo Somera broke a 2-2 tie in the bottom of the fourth with a run-scoring ground out. It put the Voodoo in front, 3-2. For the game, Somera drew 1 walk.

"We put some tough at-bats on some tough pitches," said New Orleans manager Chase Sims.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at The Voodoo Lounge in New Orleans.
