Coeur Clip Voodoo, 4-3, in R1 Contest
|
The St. Louis Coeur moved to within one game of the ToC Semi-Finals, downing the visiting New Orleans Voodoo at The BFIB by a score of 4-3. Coeur designated hitter Jorge Beguer did some major damage. He was 2-2 with 2 singles and 2 walks. The win gives the Coeur a 2-1 advantage in the best-of-5 ToC First Round.
Mal Parker drew 1 walk against the Voodoo. With the game tied in the bottom of the eighth inning, he drew a walk, driving in 1 run that put St. Louis in front, 4-3.
"We're one game closer to our goal," St. Louis manager Scott McMahon said later. "It isn't any more complicated than that."
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at The BFIB in St. Louis.
