Patriots Win, Move to Within 1 Game of Tournament of Champions

The Boston Patriots moved to within one game of the Tournament of Champions, downing the Colorado Billy Goats on the road at Grazing Hills by a score of 3-1. Patriots left-hander Orlando Díaz had a strong outing. He threw 8.1 innings of 4-hit ball. The win gives the Patriots a 3-0 advantage in the best-of-5 ToC Semi-Finals.
Díaz threw well for Boston, thwarting the Colorado offense. The left-hander tossed 99 pitches over 8.1 innings. He allowed just 1 run on 4 hits.
