Home Loss Shrinks Rainbow Mermaids Series Lead to 2-1

Already down in the ToC Semi-Finals, the Boston Patriots put on their best show, beating the Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids by a final score of 2-1. Iiri Lahti was special. He threw 6.0 innings allowing 1 run. Boston now trails Northern Virginia 2-1 in the best-of-5 affair.
Boston used the hitting of Chong-hun Chon to pick up the win. The right fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Patriots on top, 2-1. For the game, Chon had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.
"All in all, I thought Iiri pitched a fine game for us tonight," said Boston manager Tyler Carter.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Atlantica in Hampton.
