Dayton won the game in part because of José Cuebas. The third baseman ripped a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Dirty Reds ahead, 2-0. For the game, Cuebas had 1 double and 1 home run in 5 at-bats.

"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Cuebas told the Dayton News.
