With the game tied, 2-2, in the bottom of the sixth, Hanson had a key at-bat for Long Island. With the bases loaded, Hanson hit a bases-clearing double off Héctor González, making the score 5-2, Lighthouse.

Kingfishers manager Tyler Johnson did not take questions after the game, telling assembled reporters that he would hold a press conference "if and when we win the United States Silver League Championship."
