The Boston Patriots defeated the Toledo Stingers, 6-3, in Game 2 of the Tournament of Champions. Making an impact was center fielder Herb Tenney, who went 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. The win moves Boston into a 1-1 tie with Toledo in the series.

Andrés López hit a run-scoring triple off Ed Fox in the bottom of the seventh, which put the Patriots in front, 4-3. López had 1 single, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 2 for 4.

López told a Boston News reporter that he was "gratified" with the win.

Game 3 is scheduled for Tuesday at Pacesetter Park in Toledo.
