Stingers Hammered by Sheffield, Drop Game 3 to Voodoo
|
The New Orleans Voodoo moved to within one game of the Tournament of Champions, downing the visiting Toledo Stingers at The Voodoo Lounge by a score of 5-3. Voodoo catcher Clint Sheffield did some major damage. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The win gives the Voodoo a 2-1 advantage in the best-of-5 ToC Semi-Finals.
A key moment came with one out in the bottom of the third. That's when Sheffield hit a sinker from Puhi Paselio for a 2-run home run, putting New Orleans up, 5-0.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Sheffield.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at The Voodoo Lounge in New Orleans.
