Raucous Pacesetter Park Crowd Propels Stingers to 2-0 Victory; Series Tied at 2
The Toledo Stingers and the Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids will take the ToC Semi-Finals to a decisive 5th game. Facing a must-win situation, the Stingers shut out the Rainbow Mermaids, 2-0, at Pacesetter Park to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Toledo left-hander Jason Kofod did his part. He threw 7.0 innings of shutout ball.

Kofod, the Toledo left-hander, went 7 innings, allowing no runs on 3 hits. He collected 6 strikeouts.

"Jason had good arm action, good stuff," said Toledo manager David Bunting.

Game 5 is scheduled for Tuesday at Atlantica in Hampton.
