Mangione Blasts Rainbow Mermaids, Rocketeers Take Game 6, 8-4
The Seattle Rocketeers and the Northern Virginia Rainbow Mermaids will take the Tournament of Champions to a decisive 7th game. In a must-win situation, the Rocketeers beat the Rainbow Mermaids, 8-4, at Boeing Dome to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Seattle second baseman Luigi Mangione was 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 times.

Cortland Talman, the 28th overall pick in the 2059 draft, chipped in a 2-run home run for Seattle in the bottom of the third. For the game, the third baseman had 2 hits in 5 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 2 runs scored, and 3 RBI.

"Getting a lot of baserunners and getting some timely hits, it's a good combination," said Talman.

Game 7 is scheduled for Sunday at Atlantica in Hampton.
