Fans saw a dandy of a game between the Boston Patriots and Memphis Mockingbirds.

The Boston Patriots took Memphis pitcher Noud Taaij's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Magnolia Park. The final score had Boston getting past the Mockingbirds, 3-2. Taaij went 7.1 innings and allowed no runs, striking out 10. Yong-hyun Kim, who is the 2nd-best prospect in the Patriots organization, nailed down the save.

Taaij gave opposing hitters fits all game. He allowed 2 hits in 7.1 innings while striking out 10 in a fine outing, but the Patriots didn't give him much run support.

The defeat makes Memphis 10-9.
