The Long Island Lighthouse topped the Ft. Worth Cattlemen, 3-1, in United States Premier League action at The Lighthouse. The standout performance belonged to Long Island pitcher and Lutherville-Timonium, Maryland, native David O'Farrell. The loss puts Ft. Worth at 12-7.

With scoring opportunities rare, the Lighthouse had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the second, when right fielder Raúl Miranda hit a 2-run single. The single came off Nick Long and made the score 2-0, Lighthouse. Miranda was 1 for 2, while adding 3 RBI.

"Tough loss," said Ft. Worth manager Scott Thompson. "But we'll learn from it."
