The Las Vegas Flamingos grabbed a win, 8-2, over the Philadelphia Liberty at Liberty Park. Las Vegas designated hitter Juan Díaz went 3-3 with a home run, 2 singles, and 2 walks. He scored 4 times. The Flamingos sport a record of 31-52.
The game turned with no one out in the top of the fourth when Díaz hit a solo home run. It thrust the Flamingos into the lead, 1-0.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Las Vegas manager Tom Williams.
