Cattlemen Collect 11-8 Win Over Pandas
The Ft. Worth Cattlemen topped the Montana Pandas, 11-8, in 10 innings. Ft. Worth left fielder Sasha Mamchenko, in particular, was impressive. He went 3-5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. The winner was Ft. Worth reliever John Allen, now 3-2. The loser was Gene Greene. Ft. Worth occupies 7th place in the Silver League at 42-41.

Ft. Worth used the clutch hitting of António Méndez to capture the win. The first baseman drilled a bases-clearing double in the top of the tenth inning to give the Cattlemen the lead, 9-6. For the game, Méndez had 2 singles and 1 double in 6 at-bats.
