Lakers Slap 3-0 Loss on Kingfishers
Pittsburgh wasted an exceptional performance by pitcher Nick Snyder, falling to the Echo Park Lakers, 3-0. Snyder threw 7.0 innings of 3-hit ball for the losing team. Echo Park reliever Carlos Sandoval snagged the win, upping his record to 2-0. Nick Snyder shouldered the loss. Brendan Fulton, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 22nd save.

Orlando Gonzáles had a big run-scoring double for the Lakers in the top of the fourth inning. With Echo Park leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a fastball from 37-year old right-handed pitcher Nick Snyder and swatted a double to right-center. It was his 4th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Lakers ahead, 2-0.

"Enjoyed this one," Gonzáles told the Echo Park Daily News. "But it's back to work tomorrow."

The Lakers saw their win-loss record go to 45-38. At the same time, the Kingfishers fell to 46-37.
